Kate Dickinson Books - Kate Dickinson is a mother of three and has a background in both early childhood education and illustration. While studying a Bachelor of Design and Animation, Kate was inspired by her love of children’s book illustrations.
Kate made her first book in 2020 while at home with her three young children. She currently has five titles which are inspired by various aspects of her life; growing up at a west coast surf beach, spending summers on boats as a child, studying and working as an early childhood teacher, her interest in the revitalisation of te reo Māori and most recently, being a stay at home mum.
Kate now lives with her husband and children in Northwest Auckland working as a part time early childhood educator and part time as an author/illustrator of children’s books.
